Version 2.4 of The Perfect Robot is out on iOS and Android, with the same 57 hand-made levels in six worlds and a lot that makes them nicer to play.
Hints when you are stuck
After a few tries at a level, a HINT button appears in the notes. Each press spells out one more card of the best program from where your robot stands. A hinted run can still earn two stars, but no Perfect.
Faster turns
Hold the board while a turn plays to watch it at double speed, and restarting a level is quicker.
Everything else
- Quick Game and online games get TURN TIME and LENGTH settings, and QUICK JOIN can fill the empty places with bots.
- Seven new achievements, and a brass or gold trim for your robot when you finish the campaign or earn every star.
- Every world has its own colour grade, and the campaign map is brighter and bigger: the stars you earn land on its boards.
- More music, new sounds and robots with more life: smooth drives, cheers, hops and dust.
- How to Play explains every board element, and you can press and hold a tile or a robot to see what it does.
- Drag cards with your finger, and feel your robot’s big moments on your phone or controller.
Online play is unchanged, so 2.3 and 2.4 players can still play together.
